Leaves Policy

Calendar Year: January 2024 - December 2024
Office Days: Monday to Sunday with 1 day off every week
Work Timings: As per schedule allotted weekly
Scope: All Full-Time Employees (Jaipur & Gurgaon)
Company Holidays
- Holi Festival: 1 day company leave
- Diwali: 2 days company leave (the day of Diwali and a day after)
- Ramzan Id/Eid-ul-Fitr: 1 optional leave as per the holiday calendar
- Bakrid/Eid ul-Adha: 1 optional leave as per the holiday calendar

General Regulations for Leaves
- Employees should notify their planned leaves at least 7 days in advance for up to 2 planned leaves and at least 15 days in advance for more than 2 days of planned leaves to their reporting managers.
- All aforementioned leaves operate on a pro rata basis, meaning employees are entitled to avail leaves depending on their time of joining.
- In case of exhaustion of available leaves and unavoidable circumstances requiring leave, an employee must reach out to the HR Manager with proof of circumstances, which must then be notified to and approved by the reporting manager.
Specific Leave Types

Earned/Casual Leaves (EL)
- Count: 12 days per calendar year
- Eligibility: Employees who have completed 1 month of the probationary period.
- Purpose: Personal reasons, illness, medical appointments, family emergencies, bereavement, personal errands, or special occasions.
- Notification: At least 7 days in advance for up to 2 leaves; 15 days for more than 2 leaves. Must have prior approval from the immediate superior on HRMS.
- Limit: Cannot apply for more than 5 consecutive paid leaves in a calendar month (excluding week offs and holidays).

Hospitalization Leaves (SL)
- Count: 12 days per calendar year
- Eligibility: All employees.
- Purpose: Health-related issues, checkups, illness, or recovery.
- Notification: By 7:00 am on the day of leave, informing both the immediate supervisor and HR Manager. HRMS should be updated on the day of return.
- Medical Proof: Required for more than 3 days of SL.
- Carry Over: Not eligible; lapses at the end of the calendar year.

Bereavement Leaves (BL)
- Count: 5 days per calendar year
- Eligibility: All employees.
- Purpose: Grieving the loss of a close or blood relative.
- Notification: By 7:00 am on the day of leave. HRMS should be updated on the day of return.
- Limit: More than 3 days will result in Leave Without Pay (LWP); lapses at the end of the calendar year.

Paternity Leave (PL)
- Count: 7 days per calendar year
- Eligibility: All male employees who have spent at least 1 year at Pink Adrak.
- Purpose: Time off for family necessity and childbirth, including adoption (limits to 2 children).
- Notification: At least 1 day in advance, along with medical proof in writing. HRMS should be updated on the day of return.

Maternity Leave (ML)
- Count: 26 weeks
- Eligibility: All female employees who have spent at least 1 year at Pink Adrak.
- Purpose: Time off for family necessity and childbirth.
- Notification: At least 30 days in advance, along with medical proof in writing. HRMS should be updated on the day of return.
- Subsequent Childbirth: 12 weeks for any childbirth after the first.

Leave Without Pay (LWP)
- Earned/Casual Leave not allowed during probation, notice period, or Performance Improvement Plan.
- Only 2 SL allowed during probation, notice period, or performance improvement plan. More than 2 will result in LWP.
- Unutilized leave exceeding entitlement will be considered LWP.
- Unauthorized absence will lead to deductions based on 1.5 times per day.
- Absences without information for more than 3 days will have salary on hold; for more than 5 days, employment will be terminated.
Unauthorized Absence
- Absence from work without information will incur deductions at 1.5 times per day.
- Strict action, including LWP and/or termination, will be taken for unexplained, unapproved, and unauthorized absences.
- Absence for more than 3 working days without information will result in salary hold.
- Absence for more than 5 working days without information will be considered absconding, leading to immediate termination.
